A SHORT STUDY IN SECOND ATTEMPTS
A queue. A budget. A little room to retry.
01 / THE COMPUTE BUDGET DESK

Give every task
a place in the budget.

Arrange the work. Measure the machine.
See what a second attempt really costs.

THE COST OF TRYING AGAIN
02 / MEASURE BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Fast is a number.
Useful is a plan.

A render frame and a model batch are different pieces of work. Framebadger keeps each task’s throughput separate, so the comparison starts with what you actually measured.

01

Bring a small, representative run.

Measure units completed ÷ elapsed hours on the same device, workload and settings. Enter that rate with the date and measurement notes. These are your measurements; we do not verify them.

02

Keep the failed attempt on the receipt.

Log its duration and successfully completed units. Sunk cost stays in the total; only unfinished work enters the new strip. The device you select determines the failed attempt’s hourly charge.

03

Your files stay yours.

No model, scene or dataset is uploaded. This desk calculates estimates locally; it does not run GPU jobs or reserve machines. Saving is optional and specific to this browser.

A LITTLE MORE CERTAINTY. A LITTLE LESS GUESSWORK.
